July 2021: Let's learn to splurge

Let the enjoyment begin

The financial goal for this month is simple. Spend. This. Money.

I cannot begin to tell you how much I have looked forward to the day I would have zero savings in a month. I know I will get back on the saving/investing train shortly. However, July and August, Tolu deplete that warchest without going overboard.

But FIRST, I am great at thIS product thing

Time to invest in content creation

Finally met my product team.

Blue Jays game

I went to see the blue jays live for the first time at Rogers Centre.

My friends from day 1 in Canada came too

Vegas Trip

One of my friends called me to go to Vegas to “work from home”. I checked in with my manager if it was okay. Shout out pandemic, it was. I have my enjoyment war-chest to spend, so I went.

As a side note, Sports betting is coming to Canada. Might as well learn from the best

Obviously, COVID test

I got tested before I left, when I got back. Gotta stay safe.

I would work from 6am -2pm PST(9-5 EST), then I’d have the rest of the day for adventure
Maximizing timezone was key.

When in ‘Murica, shoot guns

Found an army truck to mean mug in

FreeMONT STREET Experience

Went to see Criss Angel

No cameras allowed so I couldn’t get any shots in the theatre. Here’s stuff from outside it

WALK to see Bellagio waterworkS

The attempt to see the Grand Canyon

I got a rental off Turo

Pit stop, Hoover Dam.

missed the tour, Here are pics from Afar

We ate, very well

Iced Tea is just cold tea. The disappointment.

The Hotel

Hotels in Vegas are massive. The one I got was the Venetian|Palazzo. It’s two Italian themed hotels connected with its own casino, pool, shopping mall and restaurants. It had a waterway with gondolas like Venice.

10/10 recommend.

“We made it Joe”

-16 year old Tolu would never believe this.
